Teaching & Mentorship

Supportive, hands-on teaching shaped by real-world creative work and years of mentorship experience. From guest lectures to one-on-one guidance, I help young and early-career artists grow their skills in storytelling, illustration, and animation. My teaching style emphasizes curiosity, confidence, and thoughtful feedback — rooted in collaboration and a love of helping students find their own voice.

💬 Comics & Storytelling Guest Lecture (2024)

Led a classroom session on long-form comics for a college-level Sequential Art course in SCAD’s Atlanta campus as a fresh graduate.

Shared my development process, broke down storytelling and marketing tools, and supported young early-career students with live feedback and Q&A.

🎬 Directing Die For My Baby (2022-2023)

As director of the short animated film Die For My Baby, I led a large, cross-departmental team of student artists over the span of a year. Throughout production, I mentored younger animators by providing animation guides, visual references, and regular, actionable feedback.

I was also a go-to resource outside of meetings—offering advice, encouragement, and clarification in person whenever team members needed extra support.

This experience sharpened my ability to teach with patience, empathy, and a focus on helping early-career artists grow creatively and confidently.

See below for examples of animation guides to make it as easy as possible for the students to follow my film’s art direction.
