From Concept to Completion

Visually inspired by Saturday morning cartoons of the 2000s, this film is a 2D animated satire on Gen Z dating culture and the impact of social media on modern relationships.

A commentary on early internet behaviors like Instagram’s “Following” activity tab and the rise of online relationship discourse, the short critiques the extreme narratives often pushed by content creators, emphasizing the need for nuance in how we interpret online actions.

As director, I led a cross-campus team of over 80 artists through all stages of production—from story development and thematic framing to final delivery.

I communicated daily with department leads, managed schedules and feedback, and delegated tasks with a focus on collaboration and clarity.

Throughout the process, I provided creative resources and production structure to help my team succeed while keeping the film aligned with its core message.
